Supporting Families & Communities Today

Autism Speaks provides grants to help community organizations expand existing programs to serve more individuals with autism, and create new programs that demonstrate true innovation in providing services in one of the following areas of need:  Education, Recreation/Community Activities, Equipment/Supportive Technology or Young Adult/Adult Services.

 In Ohio, two grants totaling over $47,660 have been awarded in two years.

  • Western Reserve Speech & Language Partners – Beachwood, OH
    Friendship in Teams (FIT)
  • Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital For Rehabilitation – Cleveland, OH
    Cleveland Clinic Social Skills Program for High Functioning Children with ASD

    DVD Series available at no charge to the community.
  • Community Connections
    Monthly Online topics are highlighted to help individuals with autism enjoy a positive experience in their local community.
  • Autism in Workplace
    An online workplace resource for Individuals with autism.
  • Families Can Participate
    Families can connect with researchers and learn about research studies seeking family participation.
  • AutismCares
    AutismCares, a consortium of organizations including Autism Speaks, has come together to support individuals with autism and their families during natural disasters and other catastrophic life events.

  • Autism Speaks Baker Sumer Camp Program
    Autism Speaks Summer Camp Program will select eligible camps to identify qualified campers and will offer up to $5000 in scholarship funds for financially disadvantaged campers with Autism Spectrum Disorders to attend summer camp.
