The United Nations designated April 2 as World Autism Awareness Day to galvanize international efforts to promote greater understanding about autism. In Chicago, we commemorate this day with our Light It Up Blue awareness campaign, educational events and fundraising promotions. Autism Speaks to Young Professionals (AS2YP) is comprised of rising executives and professionals ages 21 – 40 who are engaging a new generation to achieve Autism Speaks’ vision to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.
