Chef's Soiree

Light It Up Blue for World Autism Awareness Day 

The United Nations designated April 2 as World Autism Awareness Day to galvanize international efforts to promote greater understanding about autism. In Chicago, we commemorate this day with our Light It Up Blue awareness campaign, educational events and fundraising promotions.

 

Early Access to Care

The Early Access to Care initiative seeks to reduce the average age of diagnosis and icrease access to high quality intervention.  We have our screening event on October 18, 2014 at Educare Family Center, 5044 S. Wabash Ave, Chicago, IL.  Contact: mrios@autismspeaks.org for more information.

Autism Speaks to Young Professionals

Autism Speaks to Young Professionals (AS2YP) is comprised of rising executives and professionals ages 21 – 40 who are engaging a new generation to achieve Autism Speaks’ vision to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. Ride for Autism Speaks

Join us September 21, 2014! Hundreds of bikers, families, friends and supporters ride through the scenic Chicago suburban countryside to raise funds for autism research and awareness. Autism Speaks Community Ambassadors Program

Community Ambassadors help connect Chicago families with the free resources, tools and services that Autism Speaks offers. To date, more than 100 volunteers are trained ambassadors and perform outreach into the community for the 100 Day Kit (available in English and Spanish), the Asperger Syndrome/High Functioning Autism Tool Kit and the Transition Tool Kit. This program is helping to connect families with resources when they need us most.
