Wrightslaw Conference in Little Rock
Special education legal expert Peter Wright is coming to Little Rock April 1 to discuss "All About IEPs", a new conference topic for 2010. Peter Wright has written several books on special education law and parent advocacy. He is a nationally known for his work on improving education for disabled children.
This conference will teach you the parent or educator how to construct useful, legal education plans for the disabled child. No longer will you go to meetings and be adrift.

Nutrition Therapy For Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder
This one-day seminar presented by Elizabeth Strickland is designed to provide the most authoritative, current, scientific-based information on nutritional interventions for the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders. During the week of April 12 to April 16, 2010, Pigtails and Crewcuts will donate a portion of their sales from each haircut when a person mentions Autism Speaks or the Walk Now for Autism Speaks event. Pigtails & Crewcuts is an autism friendly salon that caters to children on the autism spectrum. If you are seeking a quieter and less crowded time in the salon, the hours of 10am to 2pm will be best suited for your child.

Team Up Conference: Building Partnerships for Children with Autism in Arkansas
This two day conference will provide information on the common issues that impact the daily functioning of a child with autism as well as practical solutions for these issues. It will also highlight common medical issues of children with autism spectrum disorders. Through this conference, we hope to bring together clinicians, educators and parents who provide care for children with autism in Arkansas and provide a forum for dialogue about issues that affect the well-being of these children.
