2009 NASW/Texas Annual State Conference
Each year the Texas Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers holds an annual conference and over 1,000 social workers attend this three-day event. It attracts social workers from the following areas: Health/Medical, Mental Health, Diversity & Cultural Competence, International Social Work, Social Justice, School Social Work, Aging, Children & Families, Poverty, Advocacy & Organizing and Social Work Education, as well as LMFTS’s, LPC’s, and LCDC’s from across the state and throughout the region. Conference attendees are given the opportunity to gain information about resources important to their clients, the most vulnerable people in Texas.
