Body Flow Fundraiser for Organization for Autism Research
Come and flow with us to raise money for a great cause! Julie Paris will be teaching Body Flow at Cambridge Athletic Club in Tech Square on August 8th at 5:30PM, in order to help me raise money for the Organization for Autism Research!
I'm running this year's Marine Corp Marathon to raise money for the Organization for Autism Research. In late 2013, through Who I Run 4, I was matched with an awesome boy, named Ty. Ty is autistic and is one of the sweetest boys I have ever known. It is an honor for me to run this race for him, and for all kids who are on the autism spectrum.
OAR is a great organization, because unlike many, they work to directly apply their research to the challenges of autism. In OAR's own words, they do applied autism research, which is "practical research that examines issues and challenges that children and adults with autism and their families face every day."
I'm hoping to raise $1,000 for OAR - to make sure that all kids and families like Ty's have access to new research and support, in order to give them the best quality of life.
Every donation counts - and with a donation of $5 or more, you will receive a thank you gift after the class! You can choose to donate before the class via this link (http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/AmandaRuns4Ty/MCM2014) or with a cash or check at the event.
Thank you so much, and I hope you come and kick off the weekend right with some Body Flow!
